Kid X has just been released (Feb, 2019) to the registered website and on the application stores. It's free to play and aimed to a very specific audience of children in the United Arab Emirates. This was made for a client and acts as a educational experience. I worked on most of the game-play systems such as the mission system, navigation, event flow and mission specific mechanics.

An interesting point of experience with this project has been the absolute need to focus on creating generic, reusable and encapsulated mechanics. When a game grows this large, it quickly becomes important to have your not-so-code-savvy colleges able to open up the Unity project and be able to connect the dots as easily as possible. This allows experimentation, prototyping and ideas to occur without the need of mine or any developers sustained input.

This game features a link to a website where you can play the game, track your progress of achievements and compare your self to all other players with a live leader board. Integrating a custom web API into the game and having it be in sync the server (which is another third party API) was a lenient challenge. However one can do wonders with a nice wrapper, nimble placements of delegates and a acrobatic use of Unity's events system.

Overall, this project really took the organisational and tech design skills to new places and is an experience which I'm happy that I've undergone.
